Children at TELI's Ohio Valley Learning Center were treated to a Thanksgiving feast fit for a king on Friday, November 18, 2011 with a meal complete with turkey, stuffing, green beans, carrots, potatoes and even a special pumpkin mousse dessert!  Children spent the week learning about the history of the Thanksgiving holiday and created hats and necklaces to display during the festivities.  Parents, grandparents and TELI's staff all joined in the fun, which served as a great reminder of just how thankful we are for children!  Click HERE to see more photos. 

In celebration of the Week of the Young Child, TELI's Penn Center children welcomed a very special guest reader, Sharon Enfield, who read the Pennsylvania's One Book  Every Young Child 2011 selection, Whose Shoes?  A Shoe for Every Job by Stephen R. Swinburne, to the children.  To welcome this distinguished reader, the children decorated paper cut outs of their favorite shoes.  Whose Shoes? A Shoe for Every Job encourages young readers to guess which shoe matches which job and the children enthusiastically played along.  Thanks for the special visit!
