teli early intervention therapy in pittsburghDear teli Friends,

As we move into the Holiday Season and the New Year, it is a good time to think about our teli community of families and the accomplishments of the year.  The teli therapists have given buoyancy and hope to parents and children by providing skilled, caring therapies that will allow transition to community settings with confidence and success.

So let me tell you some stories…….

Kevin came to teli as a medically fragile child, unable to speak because he had a tracheal tube for breathing, and a G-tube for feeding. He was unable to speak or to eat through his mouth.  Kevin received developmental services to work on his oral motor skills through exercises and practice. Kevin has since had his trach removed and with our support Kevin is slowly learning to eat and swallow properly.

Susan was a behavioral challenge; banging her head, trouble communicating her needs, frequent and violent tantrums.  Now only six months later, after working with a teli speech therapist she is able to communicate by using sign language, speak single words and she has stopped banging her head.

Jasmine came to us with developmental delays in her gross motor skills. She was not crawling or pulling to stand at an age when these skills should be routine. After working with a teli physical therapist, she is not sitting still!
Please help us continue to offer needed services by donating to teli this holiday season.

You may send a donation directly to teli at 2510 Baldwick Road, Pittsburgh PA 15205, or securely donate at www.telipa.org.

The teli Board of Trustees and Staff send you warm wishes for a wonderful holiday season.

Happy New Year!
